A very interesting topic which raises a lot of issues.

Here is a question for which no insight is likely on Oddsmaker.

For the sake of argument, let's say we have a brutally hot summer.

How will the grid fare? What do your 'Eyes & Ears' tell you about grid ruggedness?

Is there sufficient redundancy in the system?

We seemed to navigate the recent Category 5 Geomagnetic storm without incident, so maybe its better than I thought.

We’ll see! Bad events (blackouts etc) probably, but a catastrophic collapse? I don’t think so, but poor management, incompetent politicians and bad luck could flip the outcome the other way. We are definitely pushing the envelope in the US now, and eventually…. Dieu dispose de nous, as we say here!

Interesting that Texans are buying up batteries for their houses at record rates because of their shaky ( free market ) electrical

Grid. Wonder how the shortage of raw materials for batteries might impact that trend ??
